Well, just look at the other responses on this thread. Somehow everyone in med school has been brainwashed into reflexively getting angry any time someone suggests getting Pathoma by any means besides the Pathoma website, while having completely different beliefs when it comes to any other medical textbook. It remains a mystery as to why this is so. And I must have skipped lecture on the day they brainwashed everyone. A marked up review is never worth it, in my opinion.
I couldn't imagine using someone else's First Aid. The Pathoma book is great for marking in because while the text is enough to read and get the information from it, Dr Sattar draws some stuff that can aid in better understanding it. He also may have some weird jokes or mnemonics to help remember it as well, and those are things he didn't include in the book.

I won't comment on piracy since we're all guilty of it at some point, but definitely support Dr Sattar if you can. I think the sources in the UFAP method are worth their cost.
